Born and raised in Quebec and now based in Calgary, Ray Lemelin was inspired by blues legends such as Willie Dixon and Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown to pick up a Stratocaster and dedicate himself to the blues. Over the decades, Ray has performed alongside respected Canadian blues musicians including Jimmy Payne, Tim Williams, Ron Casat, Amos Garrett, Rusty Reed, Back-alley John, Johnny V, and Harp Dog Brown.

Ray’s previous album, Dark/Out of Phase, was nominated for Best Blues Album of the Year at the 2023 YYC Music Awards, and he was named Guitar Player of the Year by the CBMA Blues Awards in 2013. His latest album, Stirring The Pot, is now available on all streaming platforms.
